My husband was born in Amsterdam, Holland during World War II. His father was Jewish, and his mother was Catholic. When he was 2 years-old, the Nazis dragged his family away in front of him (he still has nightmares about it to this day at age 79).
He was placed in a state-run orphanage where he suffered abuse of every kind daily as well as malnutrition, surviving on eating flower bulbs. He ran away at age 10 as he could no longer take the abuse, and lived on the streets of Amsterdam.
After he came to America, he was in terrible shape physically, mentally and emotionally, even suicidal. He took handfuls of vitamin pills and never felt any better and then he learned that most hard pills only absorb 10-20% while liquid absorbs up to 98% directly into your bloodstream within 3 minutes of ingestion. At age 65 he “reinvented” himself and created Passion 4 Life to improve his own health. After it worked so well for him, he decided to share it with the world as his legacy that where you start in life doesn’t determine how you end up. Recipe : Smoky Yellowtail Braai
Ingredients
750g Greenfish Yellowtail Fillet, skin on (plus minus 250g per person)
A few knobs of Butter
2-3 teaspoons of crushed Garlic
Salt & Pepper
Instructions
Place the fillet on the braai grid skin side down and season with salt and pepper. Spread a few teaspoons of crushed garlic over the fillet and place a couple of knobs of butter on top.
Place the grid high above the coals on a medium heat and braai skin side down. Cooking on a medium heat high above the coals will prevent the skin from burning. You will see the meat change from translucent pink to white. Cook until you can see this colour change has just gone past half way (this process will take approximately 15 -18 minutes).
Flip the grid over so that the flesh side is now above the coals and cook for approximately 3-5 minutes until almost done. When the fillet looks 95% cooked remove from the heat as it will continue to cook once taken off the coals.

Social Enterprise ‘The One Movement’ Launches Crowdfund & Exceeds $25K Target In 24 Hours
Founded by Hollywood-based actor Petrice Jones, The One Movement is on a mission to educate, empower and support people and projects on the frontline of the fight to protect our planet. The goal being to make a positive environmental impact with beautiful and eco-friendly products connected with powerful sustainability projects.
Launched via Indiegogo on 16th October 2020, The One Movement crowdfunding campaign surpassed its target of $25,000 USD within just 24 hours. And, as part of the campaign (which will run until end of November 2020), backers can pre-order the first The One Movement product – the eco-friendly stainless steel One Bottle.
The One Movement has partnered with Plastics For Change (India), to fund the ‘Namma Mane’ project (meaning ‘Our Home’), which works with local waste collectors to collect plastic from ocean-bound waterways to be recycled into construction material used to build homes. Purchasing just one of these reusable water bottles removes the equivalent of 2000 single-use plastic bottles from ocean-bound waterways in India. Where a single One Bottle removes 20kg of plastic, 1000 of the One Bottle can build an entire home – with the first already having completed construction.

Starting by being a vehicle to facilitate a reduction in the consumption of single-use plastics, while educating on the importance of a low impact lifestyle. A staple of the 1970s bed set-up, the electric blanket, is making a 2020 comeback thanks to savvy students and money conscious millennials.
While the electric blanket’s popularity has waned since its peak popularity in the latter half of the 20th century, research by the experts at Silentnight has found that this sleep time saviour is surging in popularity amongst those aged 18-34.
Brits aged 25-34 are the most likely to own an electric blanket; while 48 per cent of the nation’s electric blankets are owned by those aged 18-34.
Silentnight attributes this increase in younger people opting for electric options to the blankets’ ability to create a cosy wintertime bedroom for a low cost – meaning students and young families on tight budgets can heat their home during the coldest part of the year without breaking the bank.
An electric blanket can heat a bedroom for less than one pence per night; an especially welcome cost saving following the news* that home working and lockdown guidelines could see household energy bills rise by up to 18 per cent this winter, totalling £1.9 billion in additional bills nationwide.
